Cherries cherries cherries......

Mom & Dad came down Monday in search of some cherries! Dad likes to pick a bunch of cherries, then take them back up to Whatcom County & distribute the goods! This year he was able to pick a bunch of cherries that the farmer wasn't going to pick due to hail damage. The cherries were still great but not worth the farmers time to sort the good ones from the dinged up ones. They left again for home on Friday afternoon. We all love it when they come visit, Bob always gets excited when he hears my mom is coming because..."oh good! My sock drawer will be full again!"  brat.   My mom is great at doing laundry.....me, well obviously I'm not too keen on it.:)

sisterhood....

Apparently the pacific northwest has been getting a little wet these days. As in endless days of gray & drizzle & wet & yuck. Audrey is a very solar powered individual so I kind of like it when it rains a lot up there cause that means she comes down here to bug me!
It was great having her around for a few days. She turns into our personal shuttle service while she's here. Runs to the store, runs the kids to work, picks up kids from practice, all that great stuff. I swear my car didn't leave the driveway for three days!!
She also always takes lots of great pictures when she's down which I of course steal and try to pass off as my own:)
The sight that greeted her when she drove in!

Bob hung up a large apron out of a pea combine for our redneck drive in theater.

Bob helping the girls work with the sheep...practice getting them set up for show time.

hmmm....this might explain why in the 17 years we've been married we've only had 1 family picture taken!

3 on 3 Tourny

Brandi, Lauryn, Keely & Brooke teamed up to play in the Prosser sportsfest this weekend. A 3 on 3 basketball tournament. It was a bit of an adjustment to go from playing court ball to playing a little edgier street ball but since they're a pretty scrappy team anyway they figured it out pretty quickly. The 5th/6th grade division was pretty full so they played up in the 7th & 8th grade division. They were all in agreement that they really didn't care if they won, they just wanted to PLAY! And PLAY they did!! The first game they got whooped pretty soundly, it was actually kind of comical to watch as they were playing against some big 8th grade girls....all our girls happen to be a little on the thin side....& not very tall so it looked pretty uneven. BUT they had fun! And once they got back in the groove and started having fun, things started to happen. They ended up winning both of the next games that day, then they came back the next morning and won that first game too! Their next game they held on to the bitter end...were even ahead most of the game and then ended up losing by one in overtime. But they (and us) had a great time and are ready to go out and try it again!

Kudos to Tana Teel for the awesome photography.

Honors assembly!

Went to an assembly Tuesday afternoon where the 6th and 7th grade kids who had a 3.5 - 4.0 GPA for the school year were honored! Very proud of you Brandi!
