Morrow County

We've had so much fun at morrow county in the past that Bob and the kids couldn't wait to do it again. It seems to be one of Bob's favorite getaways! So we packed up and headed out one weekend in October. This time with Blake & Lauryn Essary and Grandma Jeannie, Papa Dick and Uncle Moose Harris. We had awesome weather! Got caught in a rain storm one afternoon but it was great to settle some dust on the trails.

Going over the game plan for the day

Papa Dicks chair is just the right size......for 3 or 4 people

Our last morning there they found a nice big mud pit. A couple of hours of fun for them resulted in a couple of days of clean up for mom & dad!

Blake & Daddy to the rescue....good thing Blake has a wench on his quad!

Brandi & Lauryn

Ashley found some mud!

It was way more fun getting dirty than it was getting cleaned up!

Lauryn loves her grandma :)

oh oh ohhhhh coooolddd!!

No daddy no!! Not the hose!

Right after Kendra hit a rock going around a corner and flipped right off her quad....sliding through the mud on her side

Tyler doing a little climbing

The trip was loved by everyone, I'm sure it won't be too long before we'll head back again. It's just over a 2 hour drive and has very cheap nightly rates for the campground. A lot of work packing up and cleaning up but very worth it.

An answer to many many prayers

Our adorable nephew, Brysen Michael Korthuis was born on September 27,2012 to Dave & Cheryl.  An answer to so so many prayers!! I was really hoping he would wait until his actual due date, after all, October the 8th is a pretty great day to be born but he arrived in his own time and we definitely won't complain! Unfortunately I was not able to get up to go visit him until we went up for a weekend beginning of October. Can't wait to go see him and his adorable big brother again...oh and my beautiful sister too of course;)

After 10 months....

We finally made it back up to Lynden/Canada for a quick weekend visit. We hadn't been up there since Christmas. The older the kids get the harder it is to get away. Also with Bob traveling as much as he did this year it's just been impossible to get away. We were able to make it up there for Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Everybody was so excited to go back again, we had great weather and were able to visit lots of family.

Brandi and Amara enjoying a beautiful afternoon at Oma & Opas!
